Here at GVPN we are delighted about the new Meeting in a Box! This is a toolkit for community groups, classes and neighbours to share your thoughts on Victoria’s future.
As the City of Victoria updates the Official Community Plan (OCP) until September 2024, City staff are engaging in-community and online, talking about housing, community and climate and how you see your city changing and growing into the future.
What’s this Meeting in a Box?
Introducing Meeting in a Box, your toolkit to help lead community conversations and collect written feedback on the 10-Year Official Community Plan update. The toolkit has two components: the Meeting in a Box Host Package and the Participant Package, and is designed to help you walk through the OCP update and gather feedback at your own pace using a pre-recorded presentation and discussion questions. As a thank you for taking the time to come together and share your thoughts, the City is providing up to a $30 reimbursement for nourishment (for groups of four or more), reach out to ocp@victoria.ca about hosting your own Meeting in a Box.
Fairfield Gonzales Neighbourhood Priorities Forum
Join Fairfield Gonzales neighbours for this world café style event hosted by Fairfield Gonzales Community Association. The forum discussion will be about your priorities for our neighbourhood in the areas of housing, transportation, climate change and more! As the City conducts its review of the Official Community Plan, FGCA wants to hear your vision for Fairfield Gonzales. The Community Association will use your input to shape priorities for the FGCA and amplify your discussions to the City and decision-makers at all levels.
