Have you ever wondered what “placemaking” really means or how you can get involved in making our community spaces more vibrant and inclusive?
Drop-in to the Placemaking Café and be part of shaping the vibrant future of our shared spaces – we can’t wait to see you there!
Here at the Greater Victoria Placemaking Network (GVPN) we believe that placemaking creates public spaces and activities that promote social connections, health, happiness, and well-being. Whether you’re new to the idea or a seasoned placemaker, the Placemaking Café is the perfect spot to meet neighbours and share ideas. This free and accessible monthly gathering is for those curious about placemaking, as well as GVPN members who want to exchange experiences and learn from one another.
At the Placemaking Café, we’ll dive into topics such as:
Share: What is placemaking, and what are some of the best examples you’ve seen? What would you like to do to make our community spaces more vibrant and belonging?
Learn: Discover new practices from other places and explore exciting volunteer opportunities, such as how you can get involved in this year’s Little Free Library Festival!
Do: Collaborate with others on real-life placemaking projects. Come for the conversation, stay for the connections. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
