Greetings to our fellow food gardening enthusiasts!
Whether you are a supporter of local urban agriculture, a food grower yourself, or a Seed Library keeper (sharing LFL for plants and seeds!) you’ve probably heard that the Victoria Urban Food Garden Tour is returning on Saturday, September 7 (10am to 4pm).
The Victoria Urban Food Garden Tour raises funds for sustainable food growing in our region. Any Thyme Gardening is organizing the tour as a fundraiser for the Rainbow Kitchen in Esquimalt. This year the gardens are in Fairfield, Fernwood, Camosun/Cedar Hill and Royal Oak area.
Interested in volunteering?
Organizers are looking for a few more volunteers to help direct ticket holders in gardens across the city on tour day (taking tickets and/or directing people at an assigned garden). Generally, volunteers sign up for a minimum 2-hour shift at a garden and then are entitled to a ticket to tour the rest of the gardens of they would like. Email victoriaurbanfoodgardentour@gmail.com to sign up as a volunteer.
If you aren’t interested in volunteering but would like to attend the tour, tickets will be available in August, from:

More information about the tour itself can be found on Facebook or on the Victoria Urban Food Garden Tour website.
