Want to be part of a diverse team to design and roll out a process to empower your community to decide how to spend $50,000 to make “neighbourhood spaces” even better?
The Greater Victoria Placemaking Network and our partners at Building Resilient Neighbourhoods are co-hosting this year’s citizen-led Steering Committee, of up to 20 volunteers.
This year’s theme is NEIGHBOURHOOD SPACES. The Steering Committee will develop and oversee the community-led budgeting process to engage and work with community members to develop ideas and proposals.
Community voting will determine the top projects for funding. This unique opportunity will give committee members the opportunity to build connections and get hands-on experience with decision-making and community engagement.
We invite people interested in placemaking and neighbourhood spaces to apply to be part of the Steering Committee > click here.
