As the lawn signs sprouting everywhere attest, municipal election season is here.
People in the greater Victoria region love this special place. They care how its natural places, its history and heritage, and the built environment. Equally important are all the ways we get around to access and enjoy our natural spaces, public places, buildings, the shops and services we visit for our daily needs.
Transportation and place are key issues for local voters. The Greater Victoria Placemaking Network has joined with five other like-minded community organizations to prepare and share a series of questions for candidates running for local municipal office in the Capital Region. Over the weeks ahead, answers from candidates will be posted for voters and residents to assess and consider as they go to the polls.
