Please join the Greater Victoria Placemaking Network on Monday, November 18, from 6-8 pm, in the Paul Phillips Hall (1923 Fernwood Rd) for a brief business meeting followed by pizza and conversations about placemaking.

Speak to the Creek on Park(ing) Day
On September 20, 2024 (12-5pm) the Greater Victoria Placemaking Network @victoriadowntownresidents and the Invisible Water/Ways project, are collaborating to animate seven parking spaces on Broad Street just south of Pandora Avenue.

Unveiling the 850th Little Free Library (LFL) in t

Unveiling the 850th Little Free Library (LFL) in the Capital Region!

The newest LFL, aptly named “Put A Bird On It”, was installed by the Honourable Lana Popham, BC Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport and MLA for Saanich South and her partner Dr. Rob Sealey. The LFL was built by local folk artist Michael Sheane, who specialises in the unusual. This little free library is made from gathered and recycled material including an old glass paned window, a decommissioned tailpipe, and some scrap metal from Lana and Rob’s home. The crow, the nest, and the eggs were carved by Sheane.

We're having a picnic and invite all our placemaking community – current and aspiring placemakers. We welcome your friends and family to join the picnic too! This all-ages gathering is open to all, with DIY placemaking activities, cool drinks and snacks.
