This Saturday, the Greater Victoria Placemaking Network and the Oaklands Community Association are celebrating a huge milestone — 1,000 Little Free Libraries across our region. Join us for Beats Bites Books, a free, family-friendly festival filled with creativity and community connections.
Little Free Library Auction
One of the highlights of the evening will be a live auction of beautifully crafted Little Free Libraries (LFLs), with proceeds supporting the Victoria Literacy Society. Featured LFL and inspired creations were generously donated by:
- Lighthouse Little Free Library – brand new creation by Ray Young, I Used to be a Pallet Ecoostar Award Finalist
- Multiple handcrafted upcycled little libraries by Community Achievement Award winner Bruce More, LFL Builder Extraordinaire
- LFL-inspired designs from Art by Sharon Lam, check out this interview with Sharon Lam
