Join any or all of the Walking Tours and Open Houses put on by the City of Victoria Planning department around the Burnside-Gorge Community Plan, and you could help shape the future of this important inner-city neighbourhood.
Victoria’s city planners have finally embarked on a long-overdue cycle of updating all twelve local Neighbourhood Plans. Starting with Burnside-Gorge, eventually all city communities will be examined at street-level detail. This is where Placemaking can play a major role in creating vibrant neighbourhoods with lively, open public spaces.
Plan to attend any or all of these walking tours and Open houses. You will learn about the issues and opportunities that can bring Placemaking into City Planning.
